Herzliche Grüße! Ich hoffe, dass es Ihnen sehr gut geht.
Letzte Woche traf sich die Naubahar Suluk-Klasse wieder im Astana, diesmal um tiefer in das Thema Meditation (mushahada) einzutauchen, die dritte Stufe des inneren Lebens. Es gab fröhliches Zusammensein und numinöse Stille, und wir widmenten uns gemeinsam dem Urs von Ghaws al-A’zam, dem großen Beschützer (Gott heilige sein Geheimnis), dessen Linie in die Inayatiyya mündet.
Zwei Wochen zuvor war ich nach Suresnes gereist, um einen Retreat über die Anatomie der Erleuchtung zu leiten. Es war ein glückliches Wiedersehen mit Ashiqs und Murids aus mehreren Ländern. Während wir an der Renovierung unserer subtilen Körper arbeiteten, wurde die Khankah, in der wir uns versammelt hatten – Fazal Manzil, Murshids geheiligtes Haus – renoviert, ein großes Projekt, das in den nächsten zwei Jahren weitergeführt wird, so Gott will. Erste Früchte dieser Renovierung zeigt dieser Blick in den Oriental Room.
Nach den Ferien geht es wieder zurück nach Frankreich, zum jährlichen Leitertreffen in Suresnes und dem Beginn der neuen europäischen Suluk-Klasse. Nicht lange danach, im Februar, werden wir uns in Mustang Island, Texas, zu einem 5-tägigen intensiven Retreat treffen, das für alle offen ist. Ich freue mich darauf, mit vielen von Ihnen zusammen zu sein.
Im Jahr 2020 werden die Geistige Schule und der Sufi-Heilorden weltweit ein aufeinander abgestimmtes Studium der Centennial Edition der Sufi-Botschaft von Hazrat Inayat Khan,
Volume 4, Health, Mental Purification und The Mind World, das in Kürze veröffentlicht werden soll, anbieten. Ich ermutige alle, diesen wichtigen Band zu erwerben und bei der Erkundung seiner transformierenden Weisheit mitzumachen.
Eng mit mentaler Reinigung verbunden ist das Thema Alchemie, das, wie Sie vielleicht wissen, für die Geistige Schule im Allgemeinen und für die Retreat-Konzentration im Besonderen grundlegend ist. Der alchemistische Prozess, auch bekannt als das Große Werk, wird in den nächsten zwei Jahren ein zentrales Thema unserer Zusammenkünfte sein. Es wird den Inhalt eines speziellen Kurses für Suluk-Absolventen bilden, der im nächsten Herbst beginnen soll. Als Vorgeschmack auf das Kommende wird eine Auswahl alchemistischer Sprüche ab morgen täglich vom Astana veröffentlicht.

“Kunst liegt mir am Herzen, aber die Natur ist meiner Seele nahe.”
Im Menschen steht die Seele an erster Stelle. Bevor der Geist kristallisiert, gibt es nur einen Kanal des Lebens, der vom Unsichtbaren in die sichtbare Welt fließt. Die subtile Schablone des Geistes geht der Geburt voraus, aber erst mit der Inkarnation nimmt der irdische Geist seine volle Gestalt an. Wenn der Geist wächst, produziert das Geben und Nehmen zwischen dem, was im Inneren ist und dem, was außen ist, die Frucht, die wir das Herz nennen.
Im Makrokosmos steht die ursprüngliche Natur an erster Stelle. Die Natur, könnte man sagen, ist die Seele des Universums, ihr ursprünglicher Zustand. Dann kommt die Menschheit, der Gott Vulkan, der das Rohmaterial des Kosmos zu neuen Formen schmiedet, physisch und geistig.Wenn diese Transformation des Materials inspiriert und inspirierend ist, nennt man sie Kunst. In diesem Sinne ist die Kunst das schlagende Herz des Universums.
Natur und Kunst haben beide ihre unvergleichliche Magie. Die Natur ist unermesslich und komplex, jenseits aller menschlichen Vorstellungskraft. Kunst ist zutiefst menschlich. Das erste erinnert an das Sein, das zweite an das Werden. Die Natur ist der Spiegel der Seele und die Kunst ist die Lampe des Herzens.

Greetings! I hope this finds you very well.
Last week the Naubahar Suluk class again convened at the Astana, this time to go deeper into Meditation (mushahada), the third stage in the inner life. There was joyful companionship and numinous silence, and we observed together the ‘Urs of Ghaws al-A‘zam, the Great Protector (God sanctify his secret), whose lineage flows into the Inayatiyya.
Two weeks earlier I traveled to Suresnes to guide a retreat on the Anatomy of Illumination. It was a happy reunion with ashiqs and murids from several countries. As we undertook the renovation of our subtle bodies, the Khankah in which we gathered—Fazal Manzil, Murshid’s hallowed home—was undergoing renovation, a large-scale project that will continue over the next two years, God willing. The first fruits of this renovation can be seen in this glimpse of the Oriental Room. <link image?>
After the holidays I will be back in France again for the annual leadership meetings in Suresnes and the commencement of the new European Suluk class. Not long thereafter, in February, we will gather in Mustang Island, Texas, for a 5-day intensive retreat that is open to all. I look forward to being with many of you.
In 2020, the Esoteric School and Sufi Healing worldwide will offer synchronized study of The Centennial Edition of The Sufi Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan, Vol. 4: Health, Mental Purification, and The Mind World, which is due for publication shortly. I encourage everyone to obtain this important volume and to join in the exploration of its transformational wisdom.
Closely related to mental purification is the subject of alchemy, which as you may know is foundational to the Esoteric School generally, and to the Retreat Concentration specifically. The alchemical process, also known as the Great Work, will be a central theme in our gatherings over the next two years. It will form the subject matter of a specialized course for Suluk graduates scheduled to begin next fall. As a foretaste of things soon to come, a selection of alchemical sayings will go out from the Astana beginning tomorrow, day by day.

“Art is dear to my heart, but nature is near to my soul.”
In the human being, the soul comes first. Before the mind crystallizes, there is simply a channel of life flowing from the Unseen into the visible world. The subtle template of the mind precedes birth, but it is only with incarnation that the terrestrial mind takes full form. As the mind grows, the give-and-take between what is within and what is without produces the fruit we call the heart.
In the macrocosm, primal nature comes first. Nature, you might say, is the soul of the universe, its original condition. Then comes humanity, Vulcan, who forges the raw stuff of the cosmos into novel forms, physical and noetic. When this transformation of material is inspired and inspiring, it is called art. In this sense, art is the beating heart of the universe.
Nature and art each have their incomparable magic. Nature is vast and intricate beyond all human imagining. Art is poignantly human. The first is redolent of being, the second, fragrant of becoming. Nature is the mirror of the soul and art is the lamp of the heart.
