Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,
Ich hoffe, es geht Ihnen gut. Hier im Astana in Richmond war dies ein ereignisreicher Monat.
Am letzten Wochenende im September feierten wir den 812. Geburtstag von Hazrat Mawlana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (Gott segne und behüte ihn). Die geschätzten Lehrer Shaykha Hayat Nur Artiran, Shaykha Fariha al-Jerrahi, Cheikh Sufi und Shaykh Abdu-Rasheed al-Mukashfi ehrten uns mit ihrer Anwesenheit. Die Musik von Amir Koushkani und Latif Bolat hat uns verzaubert. Es war ein Bankett in der Taverne zwischen den Ruinen.
Hazrat Inayat Khan schrieb: “Rumis Werk ist so großartig, dass man, wenn man es gelesen und verstanden hat, jede Philosophie gelernt hat, die es gibt.” So Gott will, werden wir unsere Erforschung von Rumis umfangreichem Erbe Jahr für Jahr fortsetzen. Letzte Woche war der Heilorden für fünf Tage zum Studieren, Üben und Visionieren hier. Die wunderbaren Vizepräsidenten Devi Tide und Sarida Brown tagten drei Tage lang im Shafayat Council, gefolgt von einem Heilungs-Retreat am Wochenende. Inayati Healing Conductors aus der ganzen Welt haben sich per Videolink mit uns verbunden. Während draußen starker Regen fiel, belebte eine andere Art von Niederschlag unsere Stimmung, als wir uns auf das alles durchdringende Leben im Raum einstimmten.
Gestern haben wir unsere vierwöchige Herbstreihe (https://inayatiorder.org/event/the-art-of-personality-an-online-course-w-pir-zia-inayat-khan/2019-10-27/) über Band Drei (http://www.omegapub.com/?page_id=2830) der Centennial Edition der Sufi-Botschaft von Hazrat Inayat Khan abgeschlossen. So Gott will, werden wir im Frühjahr das Studium von Band Vier, des sehr wichtigen Sammelbands Health, Mental Purification und The Mind World aufnehmen.
Traurigerweise hat unser Orden eine verehrte Arbeiterin für die Botschaft verloren. Die geliebte Noor Hervot ist in die unsichtbare Welt eingetreten. Noor leitete viele Jahre lang die Esoterische Schule und den Heilorden in Frankreich und war eine Inspiration für unzählige Leben. Auf ihrer Weiterreise hinterlässt sie ein Vermächtnis von Güte, Erkenntnis und Licht. O Du, die Ursache und Wirkung des ganzen Universums…. lass ihre dürstenden Augen den herrlichen Anblick Deines Sonnenscheins sehen.

Wir sind Reisende von jenseits von Zeit und Raum. Wir sind Außerirdische – eigentlich ‘Außerhimmlische’.
Mein Ort ist das Ortslose, meine Spur das Spurlose; weder Körper noch Seele, denn ich gehöre zur Seele des Geliebten.
Aber wir haben einen Erinnerungsverlust erlitten. Wir stellen uns vor, unsere Haut wäre die Grenze unseres Wesens. Wir vergessen, dass wir Kinder der Leere, Geschwister der Sterne und Eltern eines neuen Universums sind.
Wir sind wie das Löwenjunge, das von seinem Rudel wegging und sich zu einer Schafherde gesellte. Bald darauf begann es auch zu blöken und Gras zu fressen. Eines Tages fand ein Löwe das Jungtier. Als das Jungtier vor Schreck zitterte, schubste der ältere Löwe es an das Ufer eines Sees. Das Junge blickte in den Spiegel des Sees und schaute erneut. Das Gesicht, das ihm entgegen blickte, war nicht das Gesicht eines Schafes.
Der Murshid ist der Löwe, der dir zeigt, dass du ein Löwe bist.

I hope this finds you well. Here at the Astana in Richmond it has been an eventful month.
Over the last weekend of September we celebrated the 812th birthday of Hazrat Mawlana Jalal ad-Din Rumi (God bless and keep him). The esteemed teachers Shaykha Hayat Nur Artiran, Shaykha Fariha al-Jerrahi, Cheikh Sufi, and Shaykh Abdu-Rasheed al-Mukashfi honored us with their presence. The music of Amir Koushkani and Latif Bolat enthralled us. It was a banquet in the tavern amongst the ruins.
Hazrat Inayat Khan wrote, “Rumi’s work is so great that if one has read and understood it one has learnt every philosophy there is.” God willing, we will continue our exploration of Rumi’s vast legacy year by year. Last week the Healing Activity was here for five days of study, practice, and visioning. The wonderful vice presidents Devi Tide and Sarida Brown convened the Shafayat Council over the course of three days, followed by a healing retreat over the weekend. Inayati Healing Conductors from all over the world joined us by video link. As heavy rain fell outside, another kind of downpour quickened our spirits as we attuned to the all-pervading life in space.
Yesterday we completed our four-week autumn (https://inayatiorder.org/event/the-art-of-personality-an-online-course-w-pir-zia-inayat-khan/2019-10-27/) on Volume Three (http://www.omegapub.com/?page_id=2830) of the Centennial Edition of the Sufi Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan. God willing, in the spring we will take up the study of Volume Four, the very important compilation Health, Mental Purification, and The Mind World.
Alas, our Order has lost a revered worker for the cause. Beloved Noor Hervot has passed into the invisible world. Noor lead the Esoteric School and Healing in France for many long years and was an inspiration in innumerable lives. As she travels onward, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, insight and light. O Thou, the Cause and Effect of the whole Universe … let her thirsting eyes behold the glorious vision of Thy Sunshine.

Imagine falling asleep and waking up devoid of memory. This is a description of the human condition.
We are travelers from beyond time and space. We are extraterrestrials—in fact, extracelestials.
My place is the Placeless, my trace is the Traceless; ‘Tis neither body nor soul, for I belong to the soul of the Beloved.
But we’ve fallen into amnesia. We imagine our skin is the boundary of our being. We forget we are children of the void, siblings of the stars, and parents of a new universe.
We are like the lion cub that wandered away from its pride and fell in with a herd of sheep. Before long it too began bleating and eating grass. One day a lion found the cub. As the cub quivered in terror, the elder lion nudged it along to the shore of a lake. The cub looked into the lake’s mirror, and looked again. The face staring back was not the face of a sheep.
The Murshid is the lion that shows you that you are a lion.
